Stylish barbershop on four wheels
In a nutshell
An enthusiastic team dared to take on a big one: a real American-style, checkered floor,
red leather seats, chrome barber shop in a trailer. A mobile barber shop parked in office blocks,
festivals, to treat the men in the coolest and most unusual conditions.

The vision
The guys approached us with a clear idea: they wanted to open an American-style barber shop, with the twist that it would not be tied to a specific location. It would appear in office parks, where men would happily flock down during their lunch break, in the form of a company perk, to get their beauty treatments and then sit back in front of their monitors with their hair all styled up, or at a festival,
where a hairstyle, messed up in the heat of the previous night’s crazy party, could be tidied up by skilled hands, topped up with a sharp shave that could conquer any ladies heart. The vision was so powerful that a franchise was immediately considered. But first they had to create the prototype, and branding was a big part of the business, so they turned to us for our expertise.
“The research phase can begin, the first step of which is to sit under a barber’s blade and ask him what he likes to do while he shapes my beard.”
Tomi Eke – the designer
Identifying the client’s needs
Next, we travelled to a company in Szolnok that builds special caravans. Here we studied a similar type of vehicle and, sensing the dimensions of the space, we were able to draw up a more specific list of what needed to fit and where it would fit best. In such a small space, every square centimetre matters.
Brand identity
In the meantime, the brand’s image has also evolved under Livi’s hands. The first step was to define the style of the store, then narrow it down, to a mood we thought would resonate with the prospective audience. For the airstream caravan, the genuine American image was a natural fit and we went with a vintage direction given the genre. Of course, there are many possible interpretations of this genre, so we showed Agi and the crew a few ideas before we got to the best one.
Design concept
Once the style had been defined with a moodboard, the next step was the functional layout: we considered several options depending on where we wanted to open up the space. In the end, we decided to go with this option, because it was more optimal for both the barbers and the guests. The exterior design was first developed on sketches, then we used 3D renderings to study the details, the play of light, the different material qualities and the overall look.
