In a nutshell
We were asked to design the interior of a loft office space with unparalleled features, which served as a pharmaceutical warehouse for 65 years. The goal was to create a flexible system that was agile in both space and furniture. The inspiring atmosphere is created by the wall decorations: motivational messages with trendy graphics in different languages.

Office interior – the fundamentals
With Attila Korompay (Térhálózat), the mastermind and architect of the change of function, we had a great platform to provide space for EGIS’s new flagship office, to accelerate the company’s digital transformation and to introduce agile working methods.
Research and analysis
The research that preceded the design had three main strands:
- Analysis of the space with its special characteristics.
- To learn about the latest trends in agile or workflow-based office design.
- Understanding the agile transformation of EGIS, defining the different zones.
Zones
Following the principles of activity-based office organisation, we have created 5 different areas, with a strong focus on all types of workplace collaboration. The functioning and justification of these areas was demonstrated through examples during the conceptualisation phase. Once the guidelines and needs had been jointly defined, we could start to work on the concrete.
Workstations
The workstations are designed for individual work. The two rows of tables are height adjustable and can be separated by acoustic screens. As no one will have a fixed workstation here, flexibility is the key word in furniture design.
Collab spaces
Flexible collaborative spaces have been created in the middle of the office, where teams can hold their daily/weekly short agile events or even several hours of collaborative workshops. The various whiteboards and monitors are on castors so that they can be easily moved to where they are needed. The raised chairs are more like stand-up chairs so they also support efficient working.
Focus
In the zone supporting deeper work, we have set up stations with acoustic screens for individual or even small group work. They are high enough to provide intimacy but at the same time do not separate the space.
Meeting rooms
Three meeting rooms of different sizes and functions provide the possibility to hold meetings in a relaxed environment. In the rooms along the inner wall, individual furniture adapted to different postures supports a comfortable and healthy office presence. This is where employer branding can be best expressed through wall decorations, in the form of large slogans, loosely linked to the Egis character in terms of graphics.
Social zone
In the social zone, four differently styled furniture areas allow team members to have more informal meetings, even over coffee. This area is also suitable for motivational and inspirational team events. As the sofas ordered from Hannabi are modular, they can also be varied as required.
Graphics
The icing on the cake was of course the wall decoration. EGIS’ internal communication and employer branding has been “noppafied” for years, and these graphics are part of this fresh visual world.
